Produced by Keith Emery and Mary Kucherepa Directed by Jack Boyagian
The reviews are in....
"Stellar performances in The Long Weekend" "It
is funny, sometimes hilarious, throughout. It is a really great evening
out, and the cast consists of four of the area's best, and best-known,
actors." "There isn't a weak link. They are all excellent actors and
have absorbed their characters and fit right into them so that they are
totally believable; word perfect, too, I would suspect." Read the entire review from Northumberland Today here.
This
very humorous play by the legendary Canadian playwright, Norm Foster,
is ably directed by Jack Boyagian (recently
Pirelli in Sweeney Todd). The Long Weekend stars four of the
Players' most experienced actors: Dave Clark, Beth and Jamie Hunt, and
Heather Joppling (recently the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd).
A
good way to see this Dinner Theatre production, and do your bit to help
the Players as well, is to take advantage of a discount offered by Best
Western. Organize a group of 10 people or more for any night but
Saturday, and receive a discount of 10 to 25 % on the $45 ticket price.
This can save you money yet not affect the Players profits.
At
this time, of the nine performances, one Friday and one Saturday are
sold out. Lets keep it going by filling every seat ! This is a
production that is fun, easy to watch and appealing to an adult
audience. The bonus, a fine prime rib dinner with scrumptious desserts
! This is a good one, don’t miss it.
